A modern Arabic calligraphy print featuring حب, pronounced “hob,” the Arabic word for love.

The artwork began as graffiti drawn by artist Karen aka YoKai on a wall in Beirut. After photographing and digitally tracing her calligraphy, Karen sent it to The 961 Collective in Cleveland, where it was made into a photopolymer plate and letterpress printed on a Heidelberg Windmill press.

Part of the Collective Collabs series, connecting Beirut and Cleveland through art, language, and printmaking.

---------------------------------- (This handmade product is letterpress printed using a vintage 1950s Original Heidelberg Windmill machine that was restored and brought back to life. Letterpress is a very old form of printing that involves hand mixing and manual printing of ink so a slight variance in color between prints may occur, we like to call it unique character)
