Ingenuityfest 2023 - Open Studio

September 22 - 24, 2023

We're so excited to take part in the upcoming Ingenuity Festival: Biologies & Geologies this year. We will have an open studio where you will get to check out the vintage presses and tools, examine printed samples, purchase prints and gifts, and chat about all things letterpress. We're looking forward to seeing you all, make sure to stop by and say hello!

Print Your Own Notecard Set Workshop

Saturday October 14, 2023 

10:00 a.m - 2:00 P.M

This workshop is the perfect way to explore the beautiful world of letterpress and learn about the basics of typesetting, ink mixing and operating a tabletop press. You will not only learn the fundamentals of letterpress but also leave with your very own set of 25 personalized A2 writing cards with blank envelopes. 

 

Price includes the cost of materials.

Photopolymer Plates Workshop

Saturday November 11, 2023

10:00-2:00 P.M

 

Have you ever wanted to turn your digital illustrations into letterpress prints? This workshop is for you! This hands-on experience will equip you with the skills to create beautiful and intricate plates for letterpress printing. During this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of platemaking, from preparing film negatives to the actual plate production process.

This workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced letterpress printers looking to expand their skill set when it comes to printing using photopolymer plates.

You are encouraged to send your own vector illustrations/line art ahead of time however if you don't have anything ready we will have some themed illustrations for you to to pick from. 

 

You will leave with:

- The knowledge of how to make photopolymer plates 

- A practice plate + your custom final plate (up to 3.5x5”)

- Five letterpress printed proof sheets (5x7”) on 100% cotton paper in black ink
