Let's print together! (FIG)

"Let’s Print Together!" is an exciting series of free public print events designed to bring the community together. Possible through the Creative Impact Fund from the Assembly for the Arts, these events offer a unique opportunity to engage in a fun and educational experience centered around the traditional craft of letterpress printing. During the events participants will have the chance to:

- Learn about letterpress printing the history and techniques discovering the intricacies of this traditional craft

- Explore print samples, learn about the versatility of print as a medium and the possibilities it offers whether practically or artistically

- Create prints using a letterpress machine and take home some fun goodies!

This event is free and open to the public but we ask that you register so we can better plan and accomodate the space so everyone can get a chance to make a print.

The ability to replicate thoughts and ideas through printing and seeing one’s work in multiples has been proven to be empowering. Whether you choose to pursue print as a hobby or a profession you will get the chance to experience the beauty of it. This is also a great opportunity to learn about programming being offered in the Cleveland arts scene and that it is possible to be a full-time artist and thrive in our arts community. Through partnerships and collaborations, we hope to create long lasting relationships with other arts organizations that will lead to more community based arts events which is why this event will take in partnership with FIG (Future Ink Graphics) located in the Pivot Center of the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. The upcoming event will be in collaboration with Zygote Press in Asiatown (May 18th, 2024).
